Eclipse

He is the reason why people open their eyes
In the earliest hours of morning,
The glimpse of rationality, the wise,
The one who hugged everything.
He gives the Earth all glow and powers
Because of him – she breathes
The one who is always followed by sunflowers
The one who lies unsheathes.
She is the reason why people dream
Even in their darkest places
The sparkle of intuition – one who sees between
The one who all the stars embraces.
She gives the Earth the hidden beauty
Because of her – she survives
The one who calls moonflowers on their duty,
The one who forgotten ones revives.
He is the Sun – she is the Moon
Each other they only greet -
He sleeps at night, she hides at noon
But there is a time they actually meet –
Once in a while they travel great distance
To touch each others lips –
Humans then witness their perfect coexistence
Giving it name – an Eclipse.
They make love without a shame
Leaving the world in shadow for a bit
Hugging in each others flame
Until they again split –
But when they do, they don’t say goodbye
Because even apart – together they stay
For each other they frequently die
And by that – they maintain existence of the Day.
